Review - Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious

Hello Beauties,

I wanted to share my experience with the new Revlon Lash Potion mascara with you. I tested it for about 2 weeks so I could really get to see how this mascara works in action before sharing my opinion with you.

A little back story... I had been using L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes for months; it had become my drugstore HG mascara. Also, I just recently decided that I was no longer going to buy makeup that contained parabens. Unfortunately for me, my drugstore HG mascara does indeed contain parabens, which leaves me looking for a replacement. Wahhhhhhh.

I was browsing around my local Ulta when I came across this mascara on a display. I had never seen it before, and the packaging caught my eye, so I grabbed one and took a look. The first thing I looked at was the ingredient list.  I was intrigued when I discovered that this formula was Paraben free! When I read that it was a volumizing and lengthening formula I was sold. It was everything I was looking for in a mascara. I dashed to the checkout and got out of there before I could be distracted by anything else.

The Magical Mascara

The Giant Wand

Interesting Spoolie

At first glance, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this mascara. I typically go for a wand with a smaller spoolie because my application tends to get a little messy with larger ones. This one is very large and reminded me of my Diorshow days. As you can see in the photo above, the spoolie is also shaped differently than any other spoolie I have seen before. It has three distinctive areas where the bristles protrude for application and the rest of the wand is bare. I have not tried the other Grow Luscious mascaras, so I have no idea if it is similar to those or not.

Now for the formula:

I bought the Black (002) Formula. The pigmentation is great and left my lashes jet black. The formula went on very smoothly and made my lashes SO long and voluminous. It wore well all day and never flaked off or smudged. I was surprised that it gave me great separation, because I was not expecting it with the shape of the spoolie. The brush head is still a little large, but I will get used to it.  I only wore it on my top lashes because I exclusively wear Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara on my bottom lashes.

Overall, I love the formula and I think that I got really great results! I think I may have just found a replacement!

Now I want to try this! I saw this at Target but put it back because I haven't seen many reviews on it.
