Review - Wet n Wild Limited Edition Coloricon Baked Eyeshadow Palette (and a tutorial!)

Hello, Beauties!

A few weeks ago I spotted the Wet n Wild Limited Edition Coloricon Baked Eyeshadow Palette at my local Walgreens. Seeing as I missed out on the Spring 2013 LE Palettes (specifically Nude Awakening), I snatched up the blue one in a hurry. They also had a purple variation, but since I had not tried the baked eyeshadows from WnW before, I decided just to try one and see how it worked for me. I have not had much luck with pigmentation in the baked eyeshadows I've tried from other brands, but I was hopeful about these.

For $4.99, this set comes with a 6 pan eyeshadow palette and a tube of their Megawear mascara. Here is the total package:

The back of the palette is nothing fancy.

The shades do not have names, so I have numbered them for you to see which ones I used in my final look.

Swatches taken without flash.

Here is the look I put together:
Step 1: Instead of using a primer, I used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded as a base color over my entire eyelid.

Step 2: I applied color #4 (light shimmery blue) to the center of my eyelid.

Step 3: I applied color #5 (mixture of dark & light shimmery blues) to the outer V area of my eye and blended it towards the center of my lid into the light blue color.

Step 4: I applied color #1 (shimmery silver) to the inner corner of my eye and blended it towards the center of my lid into the light blue color.

Step 5: I used a fluffy blending brush to blend out the crease.

Step 6: I applied Be A Bombshell Pen Eyeliner in Onyx to my top lash line, and L'Oreal Infallible Pencil Eyeliner in Marine to my lower lash line and smudged it out.

Step 7: For the final step, I applied Chanel Beaute Des Cils to my upper and lower lashes, followed by one coat of the Wet n Wild Megawear mascara to my top lashes, and Clinique Bottom Lash mascara to my lower lashes.

Overall, I was very impressed with this palette. I did not like the mascara, but that was just a bonus item for me anyway. The colors are much more pigmented than any other baked formulas I have tried, and the colors are truly beautiful. Although I did not use shade #2 in the tutorial, I think it is stunning and it is my favorite shade in the palette. I did not experience any fallout when applying these shadows and they blended beautifully for me. I consider this a winner.

For $4.99 I think it is a fun little palette to play with for summer. I will definitely be heading back to Walgreens to buy the purple set!

What do you think about this palette?

I have not seen this in my Walgreen's, but then again they seem to not have any of the new products that comes out every season! I will be hunting for these tho, thank you for the review!
